Not so long ago safari in Africa was only for those with the stamina and fortitude to road it. But times have changed. International standards of comfort and cuisine are now available in the heart of the world's greatest wildlife reserves.
Returning to the lodge after a long and exciting day, seated with the sights and sounds of the wild, residents can relax with a sundowner on the terrace or around a log fire in the lounge.
The lodges are at various altitudes, up to 2600 metres above sea level and the mornings and evenings are usually cool. Day temperatures in the parks on the lower levels are quite warm.

Formality is best forgotten - slacks and a light shirt are practicable as well as comfortable. A sweater or jacket maybe needed at Serengeti..
